| Canadian CH Blackthorn Snowood Saturn RA (AM/CAN CH Blackthorn Cosmic Stardust x CH Snowood Mercedes) Saturn is our current geriatric dog. Saturn is definitely Don's dog, and enjoys rides in the truck. Daily walks across the field and chasing chipmunks helps keep him acting young and being healthy. Saturn accumulated all his single championship point from the Bred By Exhibitor class, but just wasn't conformationally correct enough to finish his AKC championship. He did go to Canada with our very good friends Gary and Penny Robichaud where he earned several Group 1's and 2's, and even a Best In Show. In the performance arena, Saturn did compete in Novice obedience and agility, but just couldn't pull off those titles. In agility it was much more fun to visit the ring crew and judges than do the correct course. Can't complain about a nice social dog! And one of his shining moments was during the making of "The 12 Dogs of Christmas". Good Boy Saturn stood in freezing cold water while being bathed by several children. He kept giving them kisses with soap suds running down his nose. Saturn adores children and MUST be petted any chance he gets. Saturn is a good, good boy! |
